Twice the range (plus) of any other known mobile CB antenna.

Background - Development and Field Testing:
More than 5 years of product development and field testing went into the
development of this state-of-the-art technology. The SKIPPER evolved
over this period to become the top performing mobile CB antenna on the
market today that we are aware of. ... Patent pending

New or improved technology features:
• The Antenna Mast - Constructed of rigid aluminium pipe, treated to
avoid oxidization. See Benefit (••)
• The RRPD - A new technology low angle Radiation and Receiving Plane
Disk (RRPD) provides a very low radiation angle improves the transmitting
and receiving capabilities on the horizon achieving a greater overall
performance. The RRPD provides significant improvement of low SWR
during broadcasting.
• The Loading Coil - The improved loading coil design is a significant
improvement over the standard coil designs commonly used today on
mobile CB antennas. Amongst other refinements it is a much larger coil
designed to allow mounting much higher on the antenna mast (not possible on whip antennas).
• The Capacity Head - A new technology (when applied to mobile CB
antennas), it improves transmitting and receiving performance and
broadens the bandwidth. See Benefit (•••)
• The Fine Tuning Whip - A short, vertically adjustable, stainless steel rod for fine tuning the antenna.
• The Corona Ball - A large diameter aluminium ball mounted on the tip of
the antenna minimizes the high-voltage ‘leak' from the end of the antenna
and somewhat limits static build up on the antenna.
• Universal Mounting Bracket - Constructed of a heavy gauge stainless
steel alloy, this bracket design can be retrofitted to all North American
tractor mirror assemblies.
• Antenna Ground Cable - To ground the antenna mounting bracket to the
frame of the truck.
• Other proprietary technology is not discussed.

Benefits:
•• more rigid than ‘whip’ antennas providing more stable SWR (less
fluctuation) when in motion
very low loss signal coil
twice the range (plus) of any other known mobile CB antenna
extended transmitting abilities using only 4 watts
optimized to work within channels 1 to 40
great DX abilities on all channels
greater stability of a low SWR during broadcasting
••• a very low radiation angle improving transmitting distance
improved receiving capabilities (very sensitive to weak signals)
not affected mechanically by freezing rain or when covered with ice
much lower wattage required for transmitting range
minimized high-voltage leak at end of antenna - improves transmission
improved audio quality during transmitting and receiving
reduced static build up on the antenna
proven to handle 2,500 watts PEP. (Note: US/Canada - Legal transmit
limit is 4 watts.)
